研究者／サウンドアーティスト。2019年 MUTEK.JP AI Music Labでのパフォーマンスを機に音楽活動を開始。インタラクティブミュージックをはじめ、サウンドプログラミングを活用した作品を数多く手掛ける。2022–23年 ロンドン芸術大学Creative Computing Institute客員研究員。AIを用いた音楽をツール開発・表現の両面から探求。近年はライブコーディングや自然環境音を素材に、アンビエント／ジェネラティブなサウンドスケープの創出に取り組んでいる。
Junichi Shimizu is a researcher and sound artist. His musical practice began with a performance at MUTEK.JP AI Music Lab in 2019. He has created numerous works using sound programming, particularly in interactive music. From 2022–23, he was a visiting researcher at the Creative Computing Institute, University of the Arts London, where he explored AI-driven music from both tool development and artistic expression. His recent projects focus on live coding and creating ambient, generative soundscapes from natural environments.
